BBANZ — Frequently Asked Questions
Blood Bowl Australia & New Zealand.
BBANZ is the central hub for Blood Bowl in Australia and New Zealand. We list tournaments and leagues, publish player ratings and rankings, and share resources for new and veteran coaches.
BBANZ is run by Coach Bobsol, with support from the ANZ Blood Bowl community. We are not officially affiliated with Games Workshop or NAF.
We use an Elo-based system for 11s and 7s. Your rating shifts after each match based on opponent strength, result, and other factors. We publish both global and local rankings.
No. If you play in a league or tournament that reports results to NAF or BBANZ, your games are included automatically.
Global compares you to all coaches. Local compares you within your country/region (e.g., NZ, AU, or province/state).
Our Tournaments page aggregates NAF listings and adds extra local ANZ events. You can filter by country and region.
Not always. Many events are open-entry. For NAF-sanctioned events, membership is required if you want games to count toward NAF/BBANZ ratings.
Please ensure your event is listed on NAF. Once approved on NAF, it will usually appear on our Tournaments page automatically. We prioritise NAF-listed events.
Jump into our Discord and browse the Leagues & Clubs directory. Most regions across NZ and AU have active groups.
Everyone starts somewhere! Events are friendly and tiered rules help balance rosters. Coaches are great at teaching and sharing tips.
Results might not be uploaded yet, or the event didn't report standings. If you think games are missing, contact us with the event name, date, and your coach/NAF ID.
Absolutely. We welcome help with data, guides, and promoting local leagues. Head to the League page and say kia ora/g'day!
