These ratings reflect performance in in-person Blood Bowl tabletop events. They are calculated from official tournament results to provide a consistent view of competitive play.
Included formats:
- Blood Bowl 2025 (BB2025)
- Blood Bowl 2020 (BB2020)
- Blood Bowl Classic (pre-2020 editions)
How ratings are calculated:
- We use an Elo-style expected score model with scale
175and base K-factor8. - For a coach’s first 30 games, K is doubled (
K=16) so ratings move faster during the early calibration period. - After 30 games, K returns to the standard value (
K=8).
- Expected score for Coach A vs B:
E(A) = 1 / (1 + 10^((R(B)-R(A))/175)). - Result score is
S(A)=1for win,0.5for draw,0for loss. - Rating update:
R'(A) = R(A) + K * (S(A) - E(A)).
Not included:
- Sevens (7s)
- Any non-standard or specialist variants
- NAF Online / digital platform games
